Women are so great that they inherit the right to bear children. But bearing children does not mean greatness at all times. There are cases when many women die due to some complications before, during, and after pregnancy, especially when proper care is not taken. I must have been very lucky because my wife was able to survive after her pregnancy which was considered ectopic. It must have been a
traumatic natal depression for her, but she and I fought together in order to get rid of this irregularity. Unfortunately, she can no longer bear children after the operation.
Ectopic pregnancy takes place when an ovum that is fertilized implants on other tissues instead of the woman's uterus' lining called endometrial. It will be noted that many women die every day because of this pregnancy. About 95% of this kind of life threatening pregnancy happen in the woman's fallopian tube, 1.5% in the abdomen, roughly 0.5% in the ovary, and about 0.03% in the cervix. A great risk of this pregnancy is called inflammation of the pelvic which is brought about by either chlamydia or gonorrhea originating from the woman's cervix to the tubes along with the uterus. There are still other risks on health which are related to this kind of dangerous pregnancy, and proper care and treatment must be given in order to prevent some ill effects of this kind of risky pregnancy.
