Risks Of Youth Pregnancy

It is very apparent that more and more young women get unwanted pregnancy. I say unwanted because most of them are not prepared for this stage in life. This is oftentimes the result of pre-marital and unprotected sexual activities. I have nothing, but mercy for these young women for I know in fact that many of them suffer from traumatic natal depression.

These women are also very susceptible to various sexually transmitted diseases due to unprotected sex driven by their impulses and curiosity. Recent studies show that most of these young pregnant women are not aware that they have such diseases as they take place without symptoms at all. As such, these diseases are most likely left untreated.

However, these diseases like Chlamydia, can result to other complications both to the mother and the unborn child. For instance, this disease may result to certain eye problems like infections, pneumonia, and inflammation of the pelvic among others. I think we can control this problem if we are going to work hand in hand with the government and its agencies. The occurrence of these diseases are more prominent in women who are below 25 years old. This is because these women have varied sexual mates compared with women who are older then them.
